What we sell
We sell physical NFC review cards. Each card contains an NFC chip that stores a web link. When a customer holds an NFC-enabled phone near the card, the phone offers to open that link.
What the card does not do
This matters, so we state it plainly:
- The card makes it easier for a customer to reach your review page. It has no influence over what they write or what rating they leave.
- The card does not filter, hide, screen or divert negative feedback, and we do not sell anything that does.
- We do not guarantee that you will receive more reviews, better reviews, or any reviews at all.
- We make no promise about your ranking or visibility on any search engine, map, directory or review platform.
No affiliation with review platforms
Goodword is an independent business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorised by Google LLC or any other review platform. Any third-party names or logos that appear on a product or on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to indicate where a card can direct a customer.
Your responsibilities
When you buy and use our cards, you agree that:
- You are buying for a business, and you are authorised to act for that business.
- The review page link you give us is correct and is a page you are entitled to direct customers to. We are not responsible for a card that opens the wrong page because the link supplied was wrong.
- You will follow the rules of whichever review platform you direct customers to. Most platforms prohibit offering incentives for reviews, asking for a particular rating, and showing the review prompt only to customers you expect to be positive. Doing any of these can get your listing penalised or removed, and that is your responsibility, not ours.
- You will not use our products to mislead consumers or to collect reviews that are not genuine.
Orders and prices
- Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR).
- [TO CONFIRM — state whether prices include VAT, or remove this line if not VAT registered.]
- Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we accept your order and confirm it by email.
- If a price or product description is obviously wrong, we may decline the order and refund you in full. We will tell you if this happens.
- We may limit or decline an order — for example where we suspect fraud, or where a quantity is beyond what we can supply.
Payment
Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify and the payment providers enabled on this store. We do not store your full card details.
Delivery
[TO CONFIRM — dispatch time, delivery time, delivery areas, and what happens if an order is delayed or lost in transit.]
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Returns and cancellation
Your rights to cancel and return are set out in our Refund policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
Intellectual property
The Goodword name, logo, site content and product descriptions belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission.
Liability
We are responsible for supplying goods that match their description and are of good quality, as the Consumer Protection Act requires.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profit, lost business, or loss of reputation — arising from the use of our products. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or liability under section 61 of the Consumer Protection Act.
If something goes wrong
Contact us first at nfccards@ldindustries.co.za. Most problems are quicker to fix directly. If we cannot resolve it, you may refer the matter to the National Consumer Commission or an accredited consumer ombud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
